Sport Singapore (SportSG) introduced a new booking platform, MyActiveSG+, on 15 June 2024, aimed at addressing issues caused by bots and scalpers in the booking of public sports facilities. This initiative comes in response to growing concerns over unfair booking practices, which have hindered the public's access to these facilities.

Between 2021 and March 2023, over 200 ActiveSG accounts were suspended for suspected bot use, and more than 600 bookings were canceled due to on-selling activities. The new platform aims to ensure fair and easy access for all Singaporeans, supporting healthier lifestyles.
Key Features of MyActiveSG+

Singpass Integration: Users will need to sign up and log in using their Singpass, preventing multiple accounts and bot usage.
Balloting System: For peak hour bookings, a balloting system will be introduced. Users can ballot for slots 14 days in advance, with results announced the next day. Successful applicants must confirm their slots by 11:59 PM that day.
User-Centric Design: The platform will be web-based, accessible on various devices without the need for a mobile app. Features such as linking children's accounts and family accounts will be added.
Booking and Payment: Non-peak hour bookings will continue on a first-come, first-served basis. Payments can be made via credit/debit cards and PayNow, with ActiveSG credits also applicable.
Launch and Transition

The transition to MyActiveSG+ will be gradual. Starting 15 June 2024, members can log in and receive a one-time S$10 ActiveSG anniversary credit. By 15 July, all facilities and programs will be available for booking. Seasonal and day passes will be purchasable from 15 August. The current ActiveSG platform will remain accessible until 01 October 2024.
ActiveSG credits will be migrated to MyActiveSG+ by June 30. Users will have until mid-August to use their Active Wallet balances, after which any remaining funds will be refunded.
This phased rollout ensures members have time to adjust to the new system, with ongoing improvements based on user feedback and usage patterns.
