As the school term comes to an end, don’t throw away textbooks that are still in good condition. Instead, donate them to the FairPrice Group’s Share-A-Textbook Initiative.

This community-driven effort aims to make educational resources accessible, ease financial burdens for families, and promote sustainability in Singapore. By giving pre-loved books a second life, the initiative supports students and helps reduce environmental waste.
How to Get Involved

Donate
Contribute pre-loved textbooks in good condition, aligned with the current MOE syllabus, at designated collection points from 16 to 30 November 2024.
Volunteer
Join over 2,000 annual volunteers to sort and organize donated books.
Sorting dates: 27 November to 6 December 2024.
Volunteers can sign up online and include corporate groups, students, or the general public.
Collect
Pick up free textbooks during the distribution drive on 7 and 8 December 2024, from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, at the Tzu Chi Humanistic Youth Centre in Yishun.
No registration is required. Bring essentials like bags or trolleys to carry your selections home.
Note: Movement is regulated on 7 December from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm for smoother operations.

Any uncollected textbooks after the distribution drive are sent to recycling centers. This ensures that unused materials are repurposed responsibly, reducing waste and minimizing environmental impact.
