A Celebration of Multicultural Joy
Chingay is a vibrant showcase of Singapore’s multicultural heritage, featuring elaborate costumes, artistic performances, and creatively designed floats. This year’s theme, "JOY," highlights the connections formed through food, family, and community, aligning with Singapore’s 60th National Day (SG60) celebrations.
The theme explores three aspects of joy:
Family Joy – The happiness of sharing meals with loved ones.
Community Joy – The cultural stories and traditions passed down through food.
National Joy – A collective celebration of achievements and unity.
Inspired by the universal love of food, this year’s Chingay floats take on a food wonderland theme, offering a sensory feast that extends beyond the parade into the heartlands. Residents will have the opportunity to experience these artistic floats up close as they make their way through various neighborhoods.
