New budget carrier Air Japan, a subsidiary of All Nippon Airways (ANA) Group, is set to kick off direct flights between Singapore and Tokyo's Narita International Airport on April 27. The airline's inaugural flight from Narita to Singapore is scheduled for Apr 26, with tickets already available for purchase on Air Japan's website. Passengers keen on traveling in the opposite direction can expect ticket sales for the Singapore-Narita route to open in early March, as announced by Air Japan.
Despite entering a competitive market, with numerous carriers already servicing the Singapore-Tokyo route, Air Japan aims to carve out its niche by offering budget-friendly fares and a hassle-free travel experience. Operating Boeing 787 aircraft configured in an all-economy class layout, the airline promises to provide reliable service while catering to the diverse needs of travelers.
Air Japan currently flies from Narita to other popular destinations such as Bangkok and Seoul, with Singapore being its third addition to the route network. The airline offers three fare tiers – simple, standard, and selected – each tailored to suit varying preferences and budgets. The simple tier, for instance, boasts the most economical one-way fares starting at $156, inclusive of a carry-on baggage allowance of up to 7kg.
